What you'll Do:
- Engineer the Next-Gen Platform: Actively contribute to the development and building of the organization's next-generation CI/CD ecosystem. Use insights from the current platform to develop outstanding, self-healing deployment paths.
- Build and Architecture: Apply design patterns confidently and make sound architecture decisions that factor in business priorities. Produce robust API compositions. Contribute to architecture discussions. Proficient in profiling systems and improving performance. Enforce coding standards through code reviews.
- Deep-Dive Debugging: Investigate and root-cause failures in containerized workflows deployed at scale, specifically within Kubernetes environments and Argo configurations.
- User Enablement: Partner with other development teams across Adobe to ensure applications are crafted to be cloud-native and scalable. Guide internal users on guidelines for using the CI/CD platform, helping them solve configuration and deployment errors.
- Perform day-to-day operational tasks such as upgrades and addressing security vulnerabilities.
- Supervise the health of the platform and applications using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Handle tasks and projects with Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
- Operational Excellence: Identify recurring issues in the support queue and collaborate with the engineering team to propose permanent fixes or automation.
- Incident Management: Respond to and drive the resolution of high-priority production issues (CSO) to minimize downtime and impact on development velocity.
- Participate in on-call rotation to resolve and get to the bottom of root cause as part of Incident & Problem management.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in container orchestration and cloud-native development.
What you need to succeed:
- B.Tech Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience.
- Strong software development skills in Go Lang. Experience with Python or similar languages preferred.
- Lead AI Integration: Drive the integration of AI-assisted development into system build and feature architecture. Build PoCs, influence architectural patterns, and establish team standards for AI-generated code quality.
- CI/CD Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Argo CD, Workflows, Rollouts, Events and Deployments
- Build skills: Comfortable applying design patterns, making architecture decisions, and producing robust API builds. Can contribute to system decisions factoring in business priorities.
- Packaging & Configuration: Proficiency with Helm charts for managing Kubernetes applications.
- Kubernetes Expertise: Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and Docker, resource management, and solving. You should be comfortable navigating complex clusters.
- Familiarity and expertise with modern build systems such as Bazel is preferred.
- Familiarity with the 12-factor principles and software development lifecycle.
- Experience managing GitOps pipelines and debugging workflow failures.
- Experienced with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms. (AWS / Azure certifications encouraged.)
- Understanding of cloud network architectures (VNET/VPC/Nat Gateway/Envoy etc.)
- A solid understanding of time-series monitoring tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
- Debugging Approach: Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to trace issues across distributed systems and containerized microservices.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with and assist internal engineering customers.
- Mentorship and Growth: Actively engage with the team through code reviews and build discussions. Share knowledge inside and outside the team through demos, KTs, and documentation, while continuing your own technical development.
