Position Overview and Objective
 

The ServiceNow Analyst supports the delivery of technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform and provides administration, application development, maintenance, and technical support. Working under the guidance of senior team members, the analyst uses good practice web programming techniques to configure reliable solutions on the ServiceNow platform.



Responsibilities
 

As a Senior ServiceNow Analyst you will:
 

  • Assist in planning, executing, monitoring, and completing technical tasks related to the configuration and implementation of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Provide software coding and customization including, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third party software integrations, and custom application development
  • Update and maintain a comprehensive testing protocol for ServiceNow instance upgrades with the purpose of certifying all applications for use after the upgrade completes.
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve technical data and transformation issues, escalating more complex problems as needed.
  • Help gather and interpret business requirements to support sustainable solutions in ServiceNow.
  • Answer “how to” technical and application configuration questions.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute reports to ensure system operation meets performance targets.
  • Create and maintain system design and operations documentation.
  • You will perform day-to-day support and maintenance, work with the functional team to develop solutions in ServiceNow, and contribute to support and development efforts within the admin team.
  • General support, administration, and maintenance of ServiceNow platform and associated applications.
  • Work closely with ServiceNow functional teams and implementation partners to build requested items and tasks using workflows to manage processes from the customer to the fulfillment teams.
  • Configure and improve core and custom applications.
  • Work directly with process owners to resolve support issues within ServiceNow.
  • Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications
  • Develop systems integrations and process automation.
  • Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs, including scripting of each.
  • Create and configure Notifications, UI pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow.
  • Configuring and managing Discovery and Orchestration.
  • Support application and platform upgrades.
  • Load, manipulate and maintain data between Service-now and other systems.
  • Create ServiceNow reports and dashboards.
     

Experience and Requirements:

We’re looking for someone with experience in:

  • Maintain platform security and access controls (ACLs)
  • Support upgrades and platform releases
  • Monitor platform health and performance

Minimum Qualifications
 

  • BS degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of demonstrated experience in ServiceNow development, administration, or configuration.

Environment and Physical Demands
 

  • Work is primarily sedentary in nature and can be executed sitting or standing in positions in an office environment.

  • Requires ability to utilize technology related to using a keyboard, verbal communication, and work with device screens which require visual acuity.

  • If located in a company office, often requires the mobility to physically navigate the space.

  • In the event of business travel, mobility sufficient to utilize public and private transport and navigate to essential locations.

  • May include moving or lifting of 25 pounds or less (e.g., office chair, reams of paper).
