Job Description
At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you’ll help our customers make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. As a Manufacturing Technician II, you will support Zeta Plus & IPC production by operating equipment, following standard work, and helping ensure products meet safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
What You Will Do
- Operate production equipment according to SOPs, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Perform basic equipment setup, changeovers, routine checks, and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to support product quality.
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately to maintain traceability and ISO 9001 compliance.
- Identify, report, and escalate issues that may impact safety, quality, compliance, or delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work area using 5S practices.
- Follow all EHS policies, PPE requirements, gowning protocols, and cleanroom standards.
- Support troubleshooting, cross-training, and Practical Process Improvement initiatives.
How You Will Get Here
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, operations, production, laboratory, or a related field.
- Basic math skills, including formulas, decimals, and fractions.
- Ability to follow procedures and work safely in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $20.00–$23.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
