Here, you’ll be supported in progressing – whatever your ambitions.       About the role:The Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Analyst III position will be part of the Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA) Data and Analytics team within Boston Scientific.  The selected candidate will assist on projects such as reimbursement analysis, payment policy analysis, valuation studies and development of related internal tools to support the Boston Scientific business units and their products through the HEMA teams.Work ModeThis role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be located at either our Arden Hills, MN or Marlborough, MA office at least three days per week.Visa SponsorshipBoston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position. Your responsibilities will include:Assistance with a variety of projects including: government and private payer reimbursement policy research and rate analysis, querying claims data to analyze medical costs and outcomes and support economic modeling for existing and emerging technologies, and analytical support for value-based contracting opportunities.  Specific projects may include:Analyzing large claims data sets and identifying and interpreting patterns and trends in the data to support to BSC business needsPreparing financial models and projections including models that display the impact of interventions and technologies on providers and payersMaintenance of tools, data objects, and reports to support business unit objectivesModify existing programs to meet additional business requirementsConducting research on government and private payer policiesCultivating and managing relationships with business units and other internal customers, with direct ownership of at least one business unit relationshipProject managing analytical projects, including scoping, timeline planning, execution, delivery, customer communications, and presentationsPreparing summaries of analyses including project objectives, approach, and resultsAdhere to data privacy and regulatory guidelines, ensuring the ethical and secure handling of sensitive healthcare informationAssist with data management procedures and documentationMaintain high standards for data quality, reporting, and timely project executionRequired qualifications:Bachelor’s degree preferably with coursework in one of the following areas: health economics, public health, epidemiology, health care administration, statistics, data science, business analytics, computer science, data engineering2+ years of work experience in the healthcare industry (preferrably working with medical claims data)Intermediate or advanced SQL programming and data analysis experienceStrong analytical skills and detail-orientedEnthusiastic and self-motivatedAbility to work well in a team environment but can also work independently after initial guidanceTime management skills with ability to manage multiple internal client-related prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred qualifications:Accustomed to writing SQL queries with common table expressions (CTEs)Snowflake experienceExperience...
