We are looking for a talented Sales Enablement Leader to join our team specializing in Sales for our Regional Sales Operations Department in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Drive a high-impact Sales Enablement strategy by implementing the annual enablement roadmap and ensuring key initiatives build the capabilities needed for current and future business growth.
- Strengthen sales capability development through the analysis of sales feedback, performance data, and organizational needs, helping shape a long-term enablement strategy that creates a world-class sales force.
- Lead transformational learning initiatives by managing training programs that equip sales teams with the skills, processes, tools, and behaviors required to improve performance and accelerate results.
- Improve sales effectiveness and talent outcomes by evaluating the alignment between performance metrics, compensation, and talent management practices to support attraction, development, and retention of top sales talent.
- Champion change management and adoption by driving the successful implementation of new sales processes, technologies, and operating models while minimizing resistance and maximizing engagement.
- Amplify the Voice of the Business by gathering, analyzing, and translating feedback from sales teams, managers, and senior leaders into actionable recommendations that improve sales performance and employee experience.
- Lead strategic, cross-functional initiatives by partnering with Sales Operations, Regional Leaders, Business Units, and Executive Leadership to deliver initiatives that support business priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Build and develop high-performing teams by coaching, mentoring, and motivating enablement professionals, effectively managing resources and budgets, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement aligned with Cummins values.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Own and optimize the sales segmentation and incentive strategy by using data-driven insights to ensure the right customer coverage model, clear performance expectations, and motivating reward structures that drive business growth.
- Lead impactful enablement and marketing initiatives by partnering across functions to design capability-building programs and sales campaigns that improve seller effectiveness, customer engagement, and revenue outcomes.
- Drive successful change and project execution by applying structured change management and project management disciplines to deliver initiatives on time, achieve adoption, and sustain business results.
- Communicate with influence and customer focus by translating complex concepts into clear, actionable messages for diverse stakeholders while incorporating customer insights to develop solutions, training, and content that address market needs and improve sales performance.
- College or university Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required.
- CRM & sales-analytics tooling experience — required.
- Matrixed, multi-country operating experience — preferred (AME a plus).
- Commercial-leadership with measurable growth experience — preferred.
- Strong skills in Microsoft productivity tools required.
- Significant experience within sales required (sales representative, sales management, roles supporting sales capabilities).
- Experience in Training and Development or Human Resources required, including managerial experience. Broad business knowledge required.
- Experience with developing performance improvement strategies preferred. Experience in a global organization preferred.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
