Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Representative in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
- Assist with access control activities by monitoring entrances, greeting and directing visitors, and/or reporting unauthorized access attempts in accordance with site guidelines.
- Support a professional environment by observing daily activity, reporting hazards and/or maintenance concerns, and helping to deter disruptions through a visible presence and courteous communication.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
