POSITION SUMMARY:

The Depot Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily execution of depot operations to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of pharmaceutical products and related materials. This role supports operational continuity by supervising frontline staff, monitoring workflow performance, maintaining regulatory and quality standards, and ensuring service commitments are met. The Depot Supervisor plays a key role in promoting a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement in alignment with World Courier mission to improve the lives of people and animals around the world

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily Operations Oversight: Supervise day-to-day depot activities, including receiving, picking, packing, relabeling, inventory management, and returns processing.
  • Team Supervision: Direct, coach, and support depot associates to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Compliance and Quality: Help ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, company, and quality requirements, including proper product handling, storage conditions, documentation, and traceability.
  • Safety Leadership: Promote and enforce workplace safety practices, conduct routine safety checks, and support a safe working environment for employees and products.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track workflow, labor utilization, and service levels to help meet operational KPIs
  • Problem Resolution: Address day-to-day operational issues, escalate risks as needed, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruption.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with dispatch, customer service, quality, and operations leadership to maintain efficient depot performance.
  • Training and Development: Assist with onboarding, training, and performance feedback for team members to build capability and support engagement

Role Impact

The Depot Supervisor helps ensure depot operations run smoothly, compliantly, and efficiently, directly supporting product availability and service reliability across the supply chain. This role is essential to maintaining operational discipline and delivering the high standards expected.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 / 5 years of experience on leadership roles within depot operations, preferably on pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
  • Bachelor’s degree on Pharmacy, Logistic or similar is a plus
  • Minimum Intermediate English Level
  • Training in GDPGMP, or other regulated distribution practices
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with warehouse systems, scanning tools, inventory platforms, or related operational technology
  • Knowledge of standard operating procedures and regulated distribution practices
  • Awareness of proper product handling, storage conditions, and traceability requirements

SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to supervise, motivate, and coordinate frontline employees in a fast-paced operational environment. Skill in providing clear direction, coaching, and day-to-day performance feedback
  • Ability to prioritize workload and allocate resources effectively to meet daily operational targets. Skill in monitoring workflow and adjusting assignments to maintain productivity and service levels
  • Ability to identify process deviations and escalate or correct issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to promote safe work practices and reinforce adherence to safety procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support collaboration across departments
  • Quality & Customer Service focused
  • Sound judgment in making day-to-day decisions within established procedures
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. Flexibility to adjust to changing volumes, schedules, and business needs
  • Dependability, consistency, and a strong sense of ownership for team and operational performance
