Senior Product Manager, Aetna One Advocate (A1A)
Position Summary
The vision behind Aetna One Advocate is to serve people as the trusted guide that creates a more connected health care journey.
Today, healthcare still feels fragmented. People have to figure things out on their own, repeat their story, and manage work that the system should carry for them. A1A exists to change that by connecting data, people, and processes into a guided experience that follows through.
This role is an opportunity to own a critical slice of that journey.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead the strategy, solutioning, and execution of a value stream within the DDAT A1A product team, shaping the end-to-end experience and ensuring the work delivered drives meaningful outcomes for members, advocates, clients, and Aetna.
From defining and prioritizing the problems that matter most to ensuring solutions deliver real impact, you will operate across teams, systems, and stakeholders to move work forward while helping strengthen a product mindset across how we build and deliver.
Primary Responsibilities
Drive Product Strategy & Outcomes
- Define the strategy, outcomes, and roadmap for your value stream aligned to the A1A vision
- Translate complex business and customer problems into clear, value-driven priorities
- Partner with engineering, design, business, and data to deliver meaningful product solutions
- Ensure work is tied to measurable value (customer outcomes, business impact, operational efficiency)
- Continuously evaluate where to invest, pivot, or stop based on data, discovery, and results
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational workflows, business strategy, and key use cases, and use that context to inform product decisions
- Ensure alignment between your value stream and broader A1A strategy, connecting work to end-to-end outcomes and enterprise value
Delivering Through Influence
- Work across multiple teams and backlogs to ensure the right work happens, even when you don’t own all the pieces
- Identify dependencies, surface tradeoffs, and drive decisions to keep progress moving
- Drive cross-functional decision-making and alignment on strategy, priorities, and execution across business, operational, and technical partners and stakeholders
- Engage leadership and stakeholders to gather feedback and evolve strategy and roadmap over time
Drive Discovery and Product Thinking
- Lead ongoing product discovery to understand member, advocate, client, and business needs
- Evaluate current product state using customer feedback, product analysis, data, and stakeholder input
- Incorporate market, industry, and competitive insights to inform product direction
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights across research and data to shape product direction, validate decisions, and refine prioritization
- Develop and communicate discovery readouts that synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights, including research, product data, and market context, to inform stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and leadership
- Model and reinforce a product mindset across teams, helping drive change and evolve how product is practiced within A1A and across Aetna
