CHANEL
New York$256k–$400kPosted Jul 20, 2026
At Chanel, we are focused on creating an inclusive culture that nurtures personal growth, contributing to collective progress. We believe the uniqueness of each individual increases the diversity, complementarity and effectiveness of our teams. We strongly encourage your application, as we value the perspective, experience and potential you could bring to CHANEL.

About the role:

The US F&B Head of Marketing is entrusted with shaping and elevating CHANEL’s Brand Equity in the US, for the three strategic categories - Fragrance, Skincare and Makeup, in line with Global strategies and local market realities. This visionary leader can connect modernity with heritage, promote Brand saliency and desirability while helping drive data-informed, innovative and client‑centric growth, in a marketing landscape shaped by AI, innovation and new possibilities. Our ideal candidate is attuned with the ever-changing rules of the US market and client journeys and energized by fostering deep emotional connections between the Brand, its existing and potential clients.

This position orchestrates the full marketing ecosystem with a strategic mindset, inspiring and promoting a collaborative partnership with DCX, Brand Communication and Artistic Direction teams, locally and globally. Leading both Brand Management and Trade & Retail Marketing teams, this role ensures that every expression of the brand is coherent, elevated and culturally resonant, creating ultimate client experience at every touchpoint.

What impact you can create at CHANEL:

Brand Strategy and Brand Equity Stewardship

  • Champion Chanel’s brand equity, ensuring all initiatives reflect the House’s heritage, creative vision, and uncompromising standards.
  • Translate global brand strategies into locally relevant, high‑impact plans that reinforce CHANEL’s local leadership in luxury fragrance and beauty, while in return promoting US market and client realities towards Global teams, to ensure that these specific needs are understood and translated into product and orchestration strategies.
  • Be the voice of the Brand to communicate CHANEL’s vision and support priorities to our Retailers and Market Teams, inspiring alignment and ambition.

Category Expertise Across the Three Axis

  • Demonstrate deep strategic and operational mastery of Fragrance, Skincare, and Makeup, understanding category dynamics, competitive landscapes, and client evolving motivations, to orchestrate locally relevant activations and nourish Global MTP product plans.
  • Guide category teams to build long‑term equity while delivering short‑term business performance, supervising and consolidating A&P budget by axis, facilitating prioritization and monitoring sales performance and ROI to adapt plans and investments in real time.
  • Commission and interpret marketing intelligence, consumer research, competitive analysis, and trend forecasting to inform strategy. Translate customer data and market insights into articulated action plans by axis, govern implementation and measure success, with the support of the Transformation Office, Insights, Brand Comm (BC) and DCX teams. Connect the dots and lead the evolution from episodic insights to AI-augmented intuition, sensing cultural shifts and market opportunities.

360° Marketing Orchestration and Execution

  • Conduct the orchestra, leading the end‑to‑end development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns, partnering closely with Brand Communication, Digital and Client Experience, Artistic Department and Retail teams, as well as Global partners.
  • Beyond campaigns, ensure – with the support of the DCX and BC teams – that we create relevant and always-on connection across touchpoints of the client’s journeys (events, digital activations, retail experiences, services…), to convey the House’s storytelling through elevated and innovative multi‑channel expressions, elevating client lifetime value.
  • Lead in a fluid world: operate in a composable marketing model where teams and skills reconfigure around outcomes, not just fixed roles.
  • Client Journey & Experience Expertise
  • Bring a sophisticated understanding of modern F&B client journeys across online and offline ecosystems for each product axis.
  • Partner with DCX and Retail teams to ensure that every online and offline interaction— from digital discovery, in-store experience, events or post‑purchase engagement — feels seamless and reflects the House’s signature level of service.
  • Create unforgettable moments: together with the Artistic and Education teams, support the Retail to deliver extraordinary in-store and event experiences, consistent with Brand’s standards.
  • Leverage insights and data to anticipate the expectations of the diverse US clientele (esp younger targets) and shape meaningful, personalized experiences for launches and core product offer.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Inspire, mentor, and develop high‑performing teams, nurturing curiosity and innovative spirit, accountability, and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence aligned with Chanel’s image and values, where team members also feel empowered to bring “out of the box” ideas to create Brand magic and unique story-telling.
  • Lead with agility and promote simplification: guide an evolving organization, where roles continuously reconfigure as AI’s impact rises. Continuously assess what to automate, augment or eliminate, focusing teams on Brand priorities and high-value work. Partner with P&O to pilot adaptive organization principles when relevant.

Strategic Partnership & Influence

  • Develop strong relationships and trust with leaders of the rest of the marketing ecosystem (DCX, AD, Brand Comm) and collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and best‑in‑class execution.
  • Represent the voice of the market: provide sharp insights to influence global strategy and innovation pipelines.
