Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add an Aeronautical Engineer (Electrical Routing) OR a Principal Aeronautical Engineer (Electrical Routing) to our team in Melbourne, FL.As a member of the Electrical Routing Team, you will be responsible for:Support electrical wiring team group with their design needs, support manufacturing with wiring integration, route cable/wiring harness in 3D environment in accordance with NG Standard and MIL-W-5088 or AS 50881, and design and release cable/wiring installation.Develop technical solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.Actively participate in team discussions by offering ideas and suggestions on how we can enhance the team and/or individual’s ability to execute tasks, improve performance, and encourage innovationProactively look to organize team tasksMake good judgment design decisions regarding individual tasks. i.e minimizing rework and maximizing reuse of existing designsMake efficient use of time and resources by prioritizing tasks to meet commitmentsProfessionally represent the organization while interacting with internal and external contacts. Communicate with senior personnel on technical matters often requiring coordination between organizationsComplete all BTPs, Change Orders, reports, analyses, and other deliverables and assignments with a high degree of quality and prepare for and participate in all product life cycle design reviews as required. Complete peer check assignment duties as requested and on time.Professionally represent the organization while interacting with internal and external contacts.This position can be filled at either the Aeronautical Engineer (Electrical Routing) level or the Principal Aeronautical Engineer (Electrical Routing) level, depending upon the qualifications below. Basic Qualifications for Aeronautical Engineer (Electrical Routing):Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 2 years of related experience; OR Master’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 0 years of experience.Experience with supporting electrical wiring design; and/or wiring integration; and/or cable/wiring harnessMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearanceMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).Basic Qualifications for Principal Aeronautical Engineer (Electrical Routing):Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 5 years of related experience; OR Master’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline with 3...
