Assistant Manager, General Ledger & Payables (Hilton Singapore Orchard)

You will oversee the maintenance of precise records of all audits, processing and timely payment of all hotel payments. As an Assistant Manager, General Ledger & Payables, you’re not just driving financial accuracy and operational efficiency – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet substantiation.
- Support the Accounting Manager in financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting timelines.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate accounting.
- Assist in preparation of monthly financial reporting and analysis.
- Supervise and guide Payables and General Ledger team members to ensure efficient workflows and high-quality financial outputs.
- Prepares journal entries as assigned in accordance to Hilton Chart of Accounts, Uniform System of Accounts for Lodging Industry (latest edition) and Singapore Financial Reporting Standard.
- Support in reconciling suppliers’ monthly statements to the hotel’s accounts payable record.
- Support in ongoing system and procedural improvements.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:
- Degree/ Diploma and above in Accounting discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
- Attention to details and good interpersonal skills.
- Able to work in high volume environment with strict timelines.
- Possess system skills in hotel financial systems. Hilton standards and industry knowledge is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, etc.
