For over 30 years, Raytheon operates and maintains the Navy’s three Relocatable Over The Horizon Radars (ROTHR). Each radar consists of a remote transmit and receive site. All radars are operated from the Consolidated Operations Control Center in Chesapeake, Virginia. Each radar is capable of covering over four million square miles across the Caribbean, Eastern Pacific, Central, and South America with all systems manned and operated 24 hours a day. The ROTHR mission is primarily to track and report the movement of aircraft and ships carrying illicit narcotics from South America toward Central America and the United States.

This position is on a service contract with a set (non-negotiable) hourly rate of $22.38/hour. In addition, a Health & Welfare benefit is paid at $6.00/hour.

What You Will Do

  • As directed, performs a variety of Asset Control Center (ACC) duties that require an understanding of the storage and ROTHR inventory plan and Logistics Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Responsible for integrity/accuracy of various inventories within the ACC; including but not limited to; wholesale spares, residual spares, enhancements, tools, test equipment, and consumables. Follows procedure as defined in the Material Control Plan (MCP) for material status inputs into MMIS and SAP. Generate requisitions for commercial repair actions based upon Work Order (WO) failure requirements, request routing and vendor repairs.
  • Track and update Test Equipment Calibration database. Responsible for equipment and parts transfers to remote RADAR sites and within individual ACC inventories to meet various supply levels as defined in the Allowance Parts List (APL).
  • Performs receiving duties by verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages. Performs shipping duties by the use of Enterprise Tools, after preparation for shipment. Create shipping documents for various asset & parts movements. Maintain storage locations, storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods. Operate material handling equipment.
  • Perform clerical tasks that support special customer reports and customer metrics. Practices good safety habits and maintains good housekeeping practices. Ability to occasionally travel to other ROTHR program sites for inventory and property management duties. Candidate will perform all other related duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a warehouse environment, and minimum of two (2) years of experience in a logistics environment related to a program with multi-inventories.
  • Must have a clean motor vehicle driving record to obtain and maintain access to DoD installations.
  • The selected candidate may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued DoD Secret clearance.  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance and to obtain any required Export Authorization.
