Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists in overseeing the maintenance and operation of all hotel mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal functioning.
Conducts regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency.
Responds promptly to all engineering service calls, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption to guests.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Facilitates a positive team environment, ensuring team members feel valued and recognized.
Supports training initiatives within the department, enhancing team skills and knowledge.
Assists in managing the engineering budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Adheres to all Hilton standards, ensuring consistent quality and service.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTION
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
- Assists in testing all fire prevention systems regularly to ensure hotel safety.
- Helps in supervising daily maintenance and repair works, maintaining the hotel’s premium standards.
- Participates in the selection and evaluation of new team members, fostering a skilled and motivated team.
- Ensures compliance with security and safety regulations, maintaining awareness of local law and risks procedures.
- Contributes to team leadership through ongoing learning and development.
- Supports in scheduling and manpower planning to balance operational needs with team welfare.
- Oversees contractor and service provider work, ensuring quality and adherence to contracts.
