Job Description:

This role will own management reporting architecture and data infrastructure, lead U.S. Banking wide analytics to enhance business performance and measurement as well as provide expertise specialized in identifying key metrics and business drivers for U.S. Banking business units. The role will work with key stakeholders by leveraging technology and tools to automate the production of key metric scorecards and various reporting packages. In addition, this role will provide analytical support for U.S. Banking or Finance wide initiatives.

Depth & Scope:

  • Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
  • Leads end-to-end management reporting and owns management reporting architecture and data infrastructure
  • Leads U.S. Banking wide business insight analytics including (but not limited to) product profitability, business productivity, and channel effectiveness
  • Develops key financial & non-financial metrics for U.S. Banking and business units including executive scorecards, executive and business review packages
  • Partners with key stakeholders to leverage tools effectively in automating and streamlining the metric scorecards and reporting packages
  • Works collaboratively across Finance functions and other stakeholders in providing analytic support for U.S. Banking or Finance initiatives
  • Adheres to governance and control policies and standards as well as supports the delivery of remediation effort
  • Establishes and operates effective relationships among stakeholder groups and internal experts
  • Coordinates with groups elsewhere in TD who are engaged in similar work to leverage expertise and ensure alignment of approach
  • Provides positive people leadership by recruiting and hiring great talent, developing existing talent, and supporting and providing opportunities to progress in career goals

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or progressive work experience
  • 10+ years in financial industry with relevant treasury management, risk management and/or finance experience
  • Established track record in successful delivery of complex processes and/or technical outputs
  • Exceptional problem solving skills (issue identification, problem structuring, analysis, development of actionable recommendations) and conceptual thinking abilities
  • Strong understanding of and experience in implementing large scale and complex programs/projects, proven ability to work effectively with teams and individually
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced facilitation and influence management skills
  • Proven ability to develop good business relationships with internal partners
  • Ability to work in an unstructured and fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Proven leadership, delegation, coaching, and mentoring skills and the ability to make sound long and short term business decisions

  • Develops and maintains good relationships with key business and other stakeholders and effectively communicates with them
  • Liaises and effectively interacts with internal and external auditors, regulators where applicable and ensures appropriate action is taken where required

  • Protects the interests of the organization – identifies and manages risks, and escalates non-standard, high risk transactions/activities as necessary
