The Systems HIL Supervisor is responsible for managing and leading an agile design verification team of test engineers to validate software features integration and system level functional & performance systems end-to-end.

The Supervisor is accountable for performance and results of the Verification and Validation team. The role manages the execution of software tests and automation scripts, adhering to industry best practices to identify and resolve defects efficiently. The role focuses on continuous optimization of testing processes to improve efficiency and reduce time-to-market for software releases. Additionally, the role leads a team to execute a comprehensive software testing strategy aligned with organizational goals, manage incident triage processes, contribute to the development, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement an effective automation strategy.
What you'll do...
Design verification and sign-off of vehicle application specific software, systems, and features as per cycle plan.
Create a highly collaborative and motivated team environment, to enable a best in-class testing and management, that can be used for software and features validations.
Be the single point of contact for software and features testing at system level
Work with external and internal teams to identify, procure, and use equipment and tools for testing activities with increased efficiency.
Create a complex system level close loop testing methods and test solutions
Adopt and deploy Mode e software tool chains, process and methods to HIL organization.
Work closely with Software Development Engineers and Feature System Engineers to develop robust and customer centric test methods.
Lead test engineers, technicians, and drivers; to create and update test cases, support test case automation, execute test sequences for each software maturity release cadence, and drive JIRA/5D/AIM Triage issues to closure – reDV regression.
Reports and presents program validation status to Directors, Chief Engineers, and Managers; on a daily basis, presenting plans to cover vehicle program priorities and support issue resolution.
Coordinate tests and manage communications with users and clients, ensuring there is one channel of communication and a single point of contact.
Ensures Test setup is updated and in optimal conditions for evaluations and test at all times.
Drive Software testing integrity and requirement & test results traceability.
Drive DV Efficiency efforts to identify opportunities to move testing from the Road to the Lab to Virtual. Drive and continue to modernize and disrupt traditional fleet validation testing processes, tools, and methods.
Drives Feature signoff with proper documentation of initial/final software states, as well as software and resources used for testing.
Hire and recruit talent, mentor and manage training and career development of team members. Elevate team competency and drive innovative System Engineering test methodology. Drive performance objectives and conduct people cycle performance reviews.

Effective communication: Clear and concise spoken and written communication skills are critical for this position since the Supervisor is responsible for reporting and driving closure of fleet detected issues, escalate, and discuss critical items EMM / BPR / Directors, and documenting testing solutions.
Project management skills: Well organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
Technical Expertise in solving complex system level HW/SW challenges.
Leading and guiding engineers with software quality vision and plans.
Interpersonal skills (Networking, negotiation, and tolerance): Required to work with cross functional development and validation teams, Cross-regional, internal, and external (suppliers) and drive issues closure and regression DV.
Ability to manage urgent situations and manage priorities. Critical task force fleet assignments outside the normal workstreams.
Tolerance to ambiguity and dealing with complex engineering problems.

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field
8+ Years of experience in automotive software development or validations
8+ Years of experience in software development life cycle -Agile/SaFe process
8+ Years of experience in complex automotive embedded software testing
5+ Years of experience in leading automotive projects or team lead
5+ Years of experience in test automation development for embedded projects
5+ Years of experience utilizing software testing or quality assurance methodologies
5+ Years of experience in vehicle testing and system engineering practices
2+ Years of experience in ADAS feature testing
2+ Years of experience in distributed feature testing experience

Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field
Experience in development and execution of functional test procedures within a software or vehicle testing organization
Experience in bench testing of distributed electrical systems (Electrical System Engineering) including bench functional integration, test execution, measuring and instrumentation, incident reporting and root cause analysis
Experience in electrical schematics for vehicle components and systems and electrical architectures of distributed systems
Experience with development and verification of embedded software using hardware in the loop equipment and software (dSpace, National Instruments)
Experience with development and verification of embedded software
Experience in Ford Diagnostics Engineering tools and software downloads
Experience in implementing software configuration management

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $132,800-$250,800.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
