About the role
As an RTR Accounting Specialist, you will execute and provide analysis across a wide range of general accounting activities, supporting accurate financial reporting, compliance, and sound financial management. This role plays a key part in ensuring the integrity of financial information while contributing to budgeting, forecasting, audits, and process improvements. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and lead small‑scale projects that strengthen financial processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
As an RTR Accounting Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:
Managing and analyzing accounting activities in accordance with established accounting principles and standards to ensure compliance with regulations, laws, and reporting requirements
Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining general ledger entries, including project and/or government accounting activities
Performing monthly and quarterly close and consolidation processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
Developing and documenting accounting policies, procedures, control processes, and financials
Preparing budgets and forecasts and analyzing variances between budgeted and actual costs
Analyzing business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to accurately reflect financial position
Supporting internal and external audits to ensure process compliance and on‑time completion
Leading small‑scale accounting or finance projects as assigned
Requirements

As a minimum you must have:
University degree or equivalent in Accounting
A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
Experience performing month‑end and quarter‑end close activities
Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
An advanced degree in Accounting or a related field with at least 3 years of experience
Experience working with ERP systems
JD Edwards experience
