Accountabilities:
- Review insurance policies, coverage details, and claim documentation to determine appropriate handling and resolution.
- Investigate automobile claims, including coverage, liability, and circumstances surrounding losses.
- Evaluate vehicle values using various research methods and analyze documentation from internal and external sources.
- Assess total loss claims and apply knowledge of automotive terminology, vehicle markets, and repair estimates.
- Collaborate with policyholders, repair facilities, towing providers, other insurers, and relevant stakeholders to facilitate claim resolution.
- Negotiate and settle claims fairly, efficiently, and in accordance with established policies and best practices.
- Maintain departmental service standards, performance indicators, and quality expectations.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience by offering clear communication, support, and timely updates throughout the claims process.
- Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Valid AMF license as a Claims Adjuster (Expert en sinistre).
- 3 years of experience in automobile insurance and/or 2 years of total loss experience considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of insurance policies, coverage interpretation, claims settlement principles, and indemnification practices.
- Knowledge of automotive terminology, vehicle valuation methods, automobile markets, and repair estimates.
- Experience investigating claims and determining coverage and liability.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to support clients professionally and empathetically.
- Strong negotiation, organization, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken, is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and strong digital literacy skills.
- Fully remote position based in Canada.
