The Supply Chain Specialist operates under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager and/or Supply Chain Supervisor Perioperative Services: a member of the Perioperative Services department’s SCM team. This position is responsible for the overall management of inventory in assigned unit(s) as it relates to supply replenishment, maximization of quality, minimization of costs and support of department goals within system supply chain objectives.
As a Supply Chain Specialist you will:
- Act responsible for having a working knowledge of the product lines under the purview of the Perioperative Services department.
- Support department to ensure existing inventory and associated expenses are within budgeted targets.
- Ensure consumable supplies are accurately controlled to reduce obsolescence, outdates and waste within the assigned unit(s); this is accomplished through the maintenance of appropriate inventory levels based on PAR Optimization utilization calculations, product rotation; outdate management and ongoing communications with both the customer and Supply Chain Management team.
- Replenish and fullfill orders, managing returns, recalls and product conversions within areas of assigned responsibility to include, proper supply levels, labeling and changes in Lawson.
- Coordinate and perform scheduled physical inventories of assigned areas within the Perioperative Services department and works with the Supply Chain Management team and Perioperative Services department management to analyze outcomes and adjust inventory levels as appropriate.
- Print preference cards for schedule cases.
- Pull supplies and instrumentation for all surgical cases.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- 2 years Supply Chain Management experience required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.
- Microsoft Excel and Word
- Lawson ERP experience, preferred
- HS/GED required
- CMRP preferred
Physical Requirements-Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
