Responsible for Outage execution, Overhauling of Generator and Auxiliaries at site with Safety-Quality-Delivery-Cost KPIS.Outage Planning before outage starts , Daily Overhauling activities planning, ensuring all site activities as per plan by achieving Safety-Quality-Delivery KPIs. Close-Out and Experience feedback_ Lesson Learnt for Generator of OEM fleets as well as Other OEM fleets based on planned & forecasted outages.
The Lead Technical Field Advisor, is a key role in the SPPS Team where you will have significant opportunity to demonstrate your strategic, creative problem-solving, technical, communication and process skills in a complex, global and fast-paced environment.
Candidate will be required to support successful execution of the SPS-Geno project assigned to him as well as other team members. He/she will have to work with cross-functional resources/teams to deliver results, lead long-term planning for the successful site execution of the project, manage complex issues including dimensional measurement of the parts & developing hand sketch to support Engineering Function.

Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for the planning and execution of Generator outages (overhauls, servicing, repairs, and maintenance) at customer sites for Generators and associated auxiliaries across Fossil, Nuclear, and Combined Cycle Power Plants, including Steam Turbine (ST) retrofit installation projects.
- Lead and coordinate diversified teams comprising Field Engineers, craft labor, contractors, and support agencies to ensure effective planning, execution, EHS compliance, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery (OTD).
- Deliver scheduled outage projects within defined timelines, organizational standards, and agreed business and customer baselines.
- Ensure optimum productivity by preparing accurate forecasts, aligning resource plans, mitigating risks, and resolving execution issues to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Drive operational commitments and Steam Power service standards while implementing effective controls to achieve Zero EHS deviations, including prevention of accidents and injuries.
- Coordinate with the Generator Product Service team to ensure timely availability of required parts, spares, and materials for outage execution.
- Partner with the Contract Fulfillment team to launch Customer Satisfaction Surveys (CSS), review feedback, and develop continuous improvement action plans.
- Organize and lead on-site troubleshooting activities for Generator operational issues in consultation with the Steam Turbine (ST) Product Services team.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Generator fleet technologies, maintenance, repairs, installation practices, and Generator Technical Information Letters (TILs) issued by Product Centers, and effectively implement lessons learned in coordination with Customer Service Leaders and Service Managers.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.E/B.Tech or Diploma from a government-accredited University, Institute, or Institution.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in turbo-generator maintenance, including mechanical assembly/disassembly, stator and rotor (field) rewinds, repairs, and overhauls.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in performing visual inspections, electrical testing, stator and field rewinds, and general repairs on turbo-generators from various OEMs.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, engineering procedures, quality documentation, and inspection records.
- Sound knowledge of modern generator testing methodologies, analysis and interpretation of test results, and the ability to identify, predict, and document potential failures.
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to guide and supervise craft labor, technicians, and winders during inspections, overhauls, repairs, and rewind activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize critical issues and communicate effectively and concisely.
- Experience in preparing outage schedules, manpower plans, tooling requirements, and execution strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Willingness to mobilize to project sites on short notice and remain on-site for extended durations as required.
- Ability to undertake extensive domestic and international travel for field assignments and project support.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
