Accountabilities:

    • Define and lead the overall test architecture and automation strategy across multiple engineering teams and software services.
    • Design, build, and continuously improve scalable automation frameworks using modern testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent technologies.
    • Establish best practices for testing across all layers, including unit, integration, API, UI, performance, and end-to-end testing.
    • Embed quality engineering practices into the software development lifecycle, enabling faster feedback loops and more reliable releases.
    • Integrate automated testing solutions into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and deployment confidence.
    • Collaborate with engineering leaders, architects, and DevOps teams to align testing approaches with application architecture, including microservices and distributed systems.
    • Develop strategies for testing complex systems, including event-driven architectures, asynchronous workflows, and cloud-native applications.
    • Leverage cloud technologies and scalable infrastructure patterns to improve test execution efficiency and reliability.
    • Establish observability and reporting standards for quality metrics, test performance, and release readiness.
    • Identify quality risks, technical debt, and improvement opportunities while driving effective remediation strategies.
    • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing around automation and quality engineering practices.
    • Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and approaches to continuously strengthen testing capabilities.
    • Ensure testing practices align with security, compliance, and data protection requirements, including GDPR and sensitive data handling.
    • Promote a culture of quality ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement across engineering teams.
    • Requirements:

      • 10+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, test automation, or related technical roles, with significant experience in architecture or leadership responsibilities.
      • Strong programming experience with languages such as Java, TypeScript, Python, or similar technologies used to build automation frameworks.
      • Deep hands-on expertise with modern test automation frameworks including Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Robot Framework, or comparable tools.
      • Strong experience designing and implementing scalable automation strategies across multiple teams, products, or platforms.
      • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into development and deployment workflows.
      • Proven experience testing distributed systems, including microservices, monolithic architectures, and cloud-based applications.
      • Experience working with AWS and cloud-native environments.
      • Strong knowledge of API testing, UI testing, performance testing, test data management, and quality assurance methodologies.
      • Experience with performance testing tools such as Locust, k6, JMeter, or similar solutions.
      • Familiarity with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes is highly desirable.
      • Understanding of event-driven systems and messaging platforms such as Kafka, SNS/SQS, or equivalent is a plus.
      • Knowledge of observability practices involving metrics, logging, and tracing in relation to software quality.
      • Experience incorporating security and compliance considerations into testing strategies, including GDPR and PII protection.
      • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical teams and drive engineering excellence.
