The Executive Assistant, CEP HR & Dx Talent Platform is responsible for providing critical support for the SVP, HR & Dx Talent Leader and VP, HR Cepheid, operating at the highest level of confidentiality and autonomy.  This is a high-impact role requiring understanding of corporate structures, business operations, and strategic planning, enabling autonomous decision-making.

This position reports to the VP, HR Cepheid (dotted line to SVP, HR & Talent Diagnostics Leader) and is part of the Cepheid HR Organization located in Sunnyvale, CA and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide high-level administrative and operational support to senior HR leaders, ensuring priorities, meetings, and communications are managed effectively.

  • Manage complex calendars, coordinate global travel, prepare meeting materials, and handle expenses, purchase orders, and related administrative processes.

  • Serve as a trusted liaison between executives and internal stakeholders, facilitating communication and supporting key business and HR initiatives.

  • Plan and execute onsite and offsite meetings, events, and leadership engagements, including logistics, vendors, agendas, and attendee experience.

  • Coordinate HR projects and strategic programs by managing timelines, tracking deliverables, driving follow-up actions, and supporting successful execution of priorities.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • High school diploma (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of progressively responsible administrative experience supporting senior executives, including C-suite leaders.

  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication, organizational effectiveness, time management, attention to detail, and delivering high-quality work.

  • 3+ years of project management experience, including planning, coordinating, and executing executive meetings, conferences, and special events.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing demands, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

  • Strong problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills, with the ability to anticipate needs, take initiative, and handle sensitive situations professionally and discreetly

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically per business needs.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Executive admin support for Human Resources

The salary range for this role is $83,000-$140,000 annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
