Civil Engineer

About the Position: Serves as the Baltimore District (NAB) Construction Division Civil Engineer and authority in civil design and low impact development. Ensures the adequacy of civil engineering features and design and construction documents by making necessary comments and changes and combining results for Lessons Learned to correct systemic problems. Conduct reviews for Biddability, Constructability, Operability, Environmental, and Sustainability (BCOES). Review project scopes of work and criteria to determine project type and feasibility. Review construction designs and plans to ensure compliance. Give technical guidance to lower-grade engineers in all phases of design and review. Work closely with Architect-Engineer and in-house personnel to resolve problems during project development Oversee Quality Assurance and conduct investigations, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
