We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineering Program Manager to join our Aerospace Cost Performance Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional readiness through consistent performance excellence track record, strategic leadership, and measurable business impact.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage the Excess & Obsolete Inventory (E&O) reduction initiatives for Honeywell Aerospace, driving results while building sustainable organizational capabilities and avenues for reserved inventory reduction.
  2. Lead and manage the initiatives to drive Value engineering material productivity through the utilization of E&O inventory to drive price over with improved TAT.
  3. Drive R&O initiatives to utilize E&O Inventory for R&O fulfillment to support material productivity & AOG improvements.
  4. Oversee the VE Electrical team, with a proven track record of improving savings results. Drive VE Material VE Productivity of $20M Annually with YOY improvement
  5. Generate and implement meaningful VE ideas, creating sustainable sources of innovation driven by individual Product Engineers (PEs). Examples of initiatives include Drop In Replacements, Board Re-spins, supplier process improvements, daughter board and Horizontal deployment. 
  6. Apply out-of-the-box thinking to create diverse avenues for building a strong E&O and VE project pipeline, including cross-functional ideation, data-driven opportunity mining, supplier collaboration, technology benchmarking, and horizontal deployment of proven productivity solutions.
  7. Establish and maintain a Value Engineering Management Operating System (VE MOS) with cross-functional teams, including HTS Engineering, New Product Introduction (NPI), Sourcing, Quality, RMU, SRD teams.
  8. Collaborate closely with Sourcing Supplier Business Teams to align VE savings with sourcing strategies. - Train and mentor new VE team members globally, ensuring they are well-versed in the VE process with quick turnaround times. 
  9. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the end-to-end VE process across all types of VE projects. - Conduct Value Stream Mapping to reduce the cycle time of VE projects by more than 20-25% over the last two years. - Actively participate in the development of dashboards, reports, and digitization for various VE activities, in collaboration with the Operational Excellence (OPEX) team.
  10. Drive additional responsibility to drive Material Productivity through Obsolescence case resolutions and Electrical redesign projects.
  11. Develop and deploy analytical and data driven solutions to identify right productivity opportunities and improve efficiency.
  12. Map newer and alternate technologies for productivity and integrate with strategy.
  13. Deploy project management best practices for overall improvement of CPI and SPI & Milestone management
  14. Team skill mapping and action plan to close gaps.
  15. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team by setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, driving career development, building succession plans, and fostering an inclusive culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
  • Strong SQL skills: You should be well-versed in writing complex queries, joining large datasets, and optimizing queries for performance
  • Snowflake expertise: You should have a deep understanding of Snowflake's architecture and features, including virtual warehouses, semi-structured data handling, and query optimization.
  • ETL/ELT experience: You should have experience in designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines to extract data from various sources and load it into Snowflake particularly experience on Informatica Intelligent Cloud Service (IICS)
  • Programming skills: You should be proficient in at least one programming language, such as Python or Java, and be able to write code to automate tasks or build custom applications.
  • Cloud experience: You should have experience working with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and understand how to optimize Snowflake's performance within a cloud environment.
