**Summary:** At Meta, we're building cutting-edge camera systems and algorithms that enable high-quality media capture and AI features. We're a team of engineers developing and shipping innovative hardware, software, and content that push the boundaries of what's possible in AR, VR, and MR products. As a Camera Software Engineer, you'll drive the architecture, development, and productization of end-to-end camera pipelines across our devices. You'll own complex, ambiguous technical problems spanning on-device perception, image quality, ISP pipelines, and sensor calibration, while partnering across hardware, algorithms, and product teams to ship high-quality camera experiences at scale. **Required Skills:** Software Engineer, Camera Systems Responsibilities: 1. Design and develop end-to-end camera pipelines and features for AR/VR and wearable camera devices 2. Research, design, implement, and verify complex camera systems and HW/FW tasks, including AI sensing, ISP, 3A, IQ algorithms, and IQ tuning tools 3. Develop platform-agnostic algorithms that scale across variable hardware and product configurations 4. Optimize and drive improvements in performance, latency, and power efficiency across the full camera stack 5. Ensure that quality, system performance, latency, and power metrics are met 6. Partner directly with sensors, algorithms, and IQ teams to ship performant, reliable features across the full camera system **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 7. 7+ years software development experience in industry settings or PhD with 4+ years of experience 8. 3+ years relevant camera software engineering experience in industry settings 9. Experience developing and debugging in C/C++ 10. Experience leading large or complex projects, defined goals and delivered milestones by leading teams **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 11. Experience building camera systems for AR/VR, wearable, or mobile platforms 12. Experience developing and optimizing ISP and machine learning algorithms for camera products 13. Experience with end-to-end camera ISP pipelines and image processing algorithms 14. Experience with sensor calibration models and camera characterization 15. Experience with Qualcomm hardware and CamX, SoC platform architecture, and real-time embedded software 16. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) 17. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) 18. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies **Public Compensation:** $183,997/year to $257,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits **Industry:** Internet **Equal Opportunity:** Meta is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
