Change the world. Love your job.

Texas Instruments is seeking a Test Engineer to join our Analog Power Products organization in Santa Clara. In this role, you will develop, optimize, and qualify the automated test solutions that ensure TI's analog power ICs meet performance and quality standards at manufacturing scale.

Test Engineers are critical to TI's ability to deliver high-quality products to market efficiently. You will work with automated test equipment, develop test software and hardware, and collaborate with design, product, and validation engineers to create test solutions that are accurate, cost-effective, and scalable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and debug automated test programs for analog power ICs on industry-standard ATE platforms
  • Design, build, and qualify load boards and test hardware to support IC test requirements
  • Characterize test coverage, correlation, and capability during new product qualification
  • Optimize test time and cost while maintaining quality and coverage requirements
  • Collaborate with design and validation engineers to translate device specifications into test algorithms
  • Support transfer of test programs and hardware to manufacturing test sites
  • Analyze test data to identify escapes, outliers, and opportunities for quality improvement

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in IC test engineering or a related technical role

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing test programs for analog or mixed-signal ICs on ATE platforms (Teradyne, Advantest, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of automated test hardware design including load boards, probe cards, and test fixtures
  • Programming proficiency in C/C++, Python, or ATE-specific languages (e.g., FLEX, IG-XL)
  • Familiarity with analog measurement techniques for parameters such as supply current, output voltage regulation, switching frequency, and noise
  • Understanding of power management IC architectures (converters, LDOs, battery management)
  • Experience with statistical process control and test data analysis
  • Knowledge of Design for Testability (DFT) concepts and their application to analog IC test
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with design, product, and manufacturing teams
  • Ability to take initiative and drive test development programs forward on tight schedules
