Position

We are looking for a Passionate, Results-oriented, Tech Savvy QA Engineer to be a part of the QA COE group in India.

 

QA Engineer – SteelHead

Location - Bangalore

 

What you will do

  • Develop, extend, execute, and analyze regression, functional, and performance test plans and automation for our products and appliances
  • Identify, setup, test, and troubleshoot permutations of software, hardware, and network configurations
  • Develop and extend scripts, programs, and other tools to implement test automation
  • Document and track your work and participate in code and design reviews
  • Ability to interpret directions and work independently to ensure the work gets accomplished in a timely manner consistent with software quality assurance best practices.
  • Working with software development peers, subject matter experts and Networking experts

 

What makes you an ideal candidate

Qualifications/Experience

  • BTech/BS/MTech/MS or Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent qualification.
  • 2+ years of Professional Software experience with a focus on System and Software QA in a fast pace and expanding Agile environment.

 

Skills (Must have) and Responsibilities:

 

  • Strong background on WAN optimization, networking, WAN technologies, and building complex solutions
  • Understand product architecture, system internals, strong networking concepts and L2/L3/L4-L7 protocols
  • Strong understanding of cloud (AWS/Azure) and/or virtualization (ESX/KVM/Hyper-V)
  • Hands-on background on building testbeds/topologies, troubleshooting issues and isolating problems
  • Has worked in software QA, developed test plans and executed the test scenarios with high degree of quality
  • Experience with contemporary software quality assurance processes and automation tools
  • Automation/programming experience in any of the languages
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.

 

Skills (Good to have):

 

  • Experience with Windows, MacOS, and Linux software/application/tools configurations and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Atlassian class of products – Jira, Bamboo, Confluence, Bitbucket
  • Understanding of Dev-ops, distributed systems, CI/CD and test automation 
  • Used Jenkins and other continuous integration tools in a production environment.
  • Experience in Agile SDLC and be able to hit the ground running from day 1
