Seeking an experienced Jira Tool Developer to enhance, optimize, and maintain the Atlassian Jira environment in support of Digital Technology (DT) operations and program needs. This role is responsible for designing and improving Jira workflows that enable the planning, execution, tracking, and governance of DT deliverables—including infrastructure deployment, service requests, digital modernization activities, engineering support, and technology sustainment.
The selected candidate will work closely with DT Program Leads, DT Project Managers, engineering partners, program teams, and business stakeholders to ensure Jira effectively supports DT’s operational processes, milestone tracking, demand management, and readiness for Digital capabilities supporting Raytheon programs. This position serves as a key DT enabler, translating operational and technical requirements into scalable, compliant, and efficient Jira solutions.
What You Will Do:
Configure and maintain Jira projects, workflows, fields, permissions, and notifications.
Develop automation using Automation for Jira, ScriptRunner, or similar tools.
Build integrations with enterprise systems and create dashboards/reports.
Support upgrades, troubleshooting, and Jira governance.
Translate business requirements into scalable Jira solutions.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience.
3–5+ years Jira administration/development experience.
Experience with JQL, automation, and Jira Cloud/Data Center configuration skills.
Experience with REST APIs and integrations.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Confluence administration.
Agile (Scrum/Kanban) knowledge.
Atlassian certifications.
Reporting/BI experience.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
