Physician (Cardiology Non-Invasive)

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. VHA Physician Total Rewards. Duties: Provide evidence-based care in an outpatient clinical setting and provide consultation services in an inpatient setting or emergent need. Provide telehealth consultations as needed. Perform a physical examination, review patient's medical data and order routine diagnostic imaging studies and labs when indicated. Document observation, assessments, and changes in patient's condition; collaborating with health team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes. Provide diagnosis and treatment of adult patients presenting with cardiovascular diseases such as congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, valvular disease, etc. Participation in clinical on call schedule. Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiology procedures such as echocardiogram, stress testing, holter, event, EKG's, transesophageal echocardiogram, cardioversion, cardiac catheterization, etc. Regularly monitor patients' progress throughout treatment, managing any side effects and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary staff to identify, communicate, and resolve issues related to the Cardiology section, Medical Center ancillary and support operations, and VISN-wide mandates. Participates in quality assurance (QA) activities to include and provide data collection, data analysis, and trends and reports on changes based on data collection.
