Accountabilities:
- Design and implement real-time voice solutions supporting authentication, fraud prevention, and advanced security applications.
- Architect, integrate, and optimize voice network systems, including SIP, VoIP, PBX, IVR, SBC platforms, telephony technologies, and cloud-based voice services.
- Build and maintain scalable, secure, high-availability voice infrastructure across cloud environments.
- Partner with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to deliver seamless voice-driven features and experiences.
- Drive architectural improvements focused on performance, reliability, security, and platform scalability.
- Develop automation, monitoring, and deployment workflows to improve operational efficiency and system resilience.
- Investigate emerging threats in voice security and contribute to strategies addressing evolving risks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex voice, networking, and infrastructure issues.
- Participate in technical reviews, share engineering best practices, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
- Mentor team members and support knowledge sharing across engineering groups.
- 5+ years of experience in voice engineering, telecommunications, networking, or related technical fields.
- Deep understanding of voice and data networking technologies, including SIP, VoIP, PBX, IVR, SBC platforms, and telephony systems.
- Proven experience architecting, deploying, and scaling cloud-native voice infrastructure using platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
- Strong experience with automation, infrastructure-as-code, and operational tooling, including technologies such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, and GitHub.
- Experience building and maintaining highly reliable systems in security-sensitive or enterprise environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex voice and networking issues and develop scalable solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams, product leaders, and customers.
- Experience participating in technical reviews, mentoring peers, and promoting engineering best practices.
- Adaptability, ownership mindset, and the ability to thrive in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
- Advanced technical degree or industry certifications are considered a plus.
- Competitive base salary range of $100,000 - $120,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, location, and business considerations.
