What you will do:
Sales Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of 13 Outside Sales Representatives to achieve and exceed sales, margin, and market share objectives.
- Conduct regular field visits, ride-alongs, and performance reviews to support individual and team development.
- Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures aligned with company objectives.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop top sales talent while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Business Growth & Customer Development
- Drive profitable revenue growth through strategic customer acquisition, retention, and expansion initiatives.
- Support key account development and strengthen relationships with customers, contractors, builders, and industry partners.
- Identify emerging market opportunities, competitive threats, and customer trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with sales teams to maximize penetration within existing accounts and target new business opportunities.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Partner with Regional and District Leadership to develop annual sales plans, budgets, pricing strategies, and territory optimization initiatives.
- Lead the execution of sales campaigns, vendor programs, and product launches throughout the region.
- Utilize CRM tools, sales analytics, and business intelligence to drive data-based decision-making and performance management.
- Monitor market conditions and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with Branch Managers, Operations, Pricing, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Promote alignment across teams and ensure effective communication of company priorities and initiatives.
- Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence throughout the organization.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive sales leadership experience managing outside sales teams.
- Experience within building materials, construction, distribution, industrial products, or a related industry strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading high-performing sales teams and driving profitable growth.
- Strong coaching, leadership, and talent development capabilities.
- Excellent business acumen with the ability to analyze sales performance, market trends, and profitability.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to travel throughout Québec as required.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
