Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Production Control is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Analyst to lead packaging maintenance and kaizen for mass production.  

Additionally, this position requires a driven individual who can account for all things within their scope, from KPI reporting to special initiative updates to Manager and Sr Management.   Manage functions which include special projects (ECI, Buildout, Start Up).

Reporting to the Production Control Manager, this person will utilize the Production Control 5-year plan, Company /PC Planning Hoshin objectives, and Mgt direction to achieve/exceed Company, Dept, and Group Main KPI.

What you’ll be doing

Manage operation/function

  • Mass Production Packaging Maintenance / Kaizen:

Develop Strategies to efficiently maintain packaging resources from TMMMS to Supplier while focusing on cost reduction.Kaizen current packaging to improve Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost for the end user.

  • Manage processes:

    •  Must create supplement orders for missing or damaged freight.

    • Procure and manage freight expedites to meet production timing.

    • Resolve part shortage with internal investigation.

  • Problem Solving:

    •  Work with Vendors and 3PL to communicate and resolve packaging issues.

  • Maintain flexibility to manage the unknown, special projects, and crisis situations (including reflection)

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Supply Chain, or Engineering

  • 1+ years’ experience in an operational role focused in Packaging, Supply Chain Engineering, or other Engineering.

  • Demonstrated experience leading people through projects.

  • Ability to lead coordination meetings with all levels of management to ensure production volumes are met on time. (With visualization skills)

  • Ability to take large amounts of data/information and summarize to the necessary audience (Executive Updates)

  • Ability to work different shifts/weekends as required

Added bonus if you have

  • Supply Chain Management experience

  • Packaging experience

  • TPS fundamentals understanding and practice in problem-solving, standardization, JIT, etc

  • Power-BI and/or SQL experience

  • High level of competence with MS Office operating systems
