Supports and promotes goals and objectives of the Department of Radiology and Mayo Clinic. Is responsible for providing customer service internal and external to Mayo Clinic, including physicians, allied health staff and medical center personnel. Performs work activities related to Radiology Data Management and Archive area, including film management, electronic image media creation, film digitization, electronic image transfer, quality assurance and corrections. Manipulates DICOM Data to anonymize electronic images for use in Research Studies where applicable. Is responsible for taking positive action in problem solving and working with various computer systems. Requires positive communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to customer service, demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a team environment, flexibility and the ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. Understands and adapts to changes in procedures easily and supportively. Rotates through areas on a scheduled basis. Ability to problem-solve, organize and process information with speed and accuracy. Maintains excellent attendance.

A high school diploma or GED is required. Minimum two years customer service experience in an environment requiring multi-tasking, such as a call center, administrative/physician’s office, appointment scheduler or retail/service industry. College courses such as anatomy and medical terminology preferred.

Additional Qualifications:
Good clerical aptitude and computer skills with accurate keyboarding and ability to learn various computer systems and applications. Ability to read, write and speak English. Exposure to electronic health record preferred. Ability to work independently, be goal-directed and have strong organizational skills. Ability to comprehend and excel in verbal and written communication. Knowledge of PHI and HIPPA organizational policies and guidelines. Ability to handle difficult situations, remain calm under stress, manage emotional situations, display empathy, and maintain positive communication during a rapidly changing/dynamic environment. Demonstrate a friendly and positive attitude. Must be flexible and willing to adjust work schedules in response to department needs. Establish and maintain professional working relationships with staff, physicians, management, patients and external contacts
