Database Reliability Architect
R1 RCM Holdco, Inc., Database Reliability Architect, Murray, UT.
Develop and enforce database design standards, best practices, and governance policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity. Design and develop the conceptual, logical, and physical data models for new and existing applications, aligning them with business requirements and enterprise data strategy. Create and maintain a comprehensive data architecture roadmap, outlining a long-term vision for our data infrastructure. Architect and manage replication and failover strategies for both NoSQL and RDBMS systems to ensure high availability and business continuity. Lead performance optimization initiatives, including complex query tuning, index optimization, and database configuration adjustments. Design and implement robust data solutions in a hybrid cloud environment, with a strong focus on cloud-native services such as Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Amazon RDS, Couchbase. Architect data migration strategies to and from on-premise and cloud platforms with minimal downtime and data loss. Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud Engineering teams to integrate database systems into automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions. Review and approve database designs and code changes from development teams to ensure adherence to architectural standards. Stay current with emerging database technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions. The salary range is $163,151.85 - $229,750.51 per year. #LI-DNI #BI-DNI
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
Bonus: Job eligible to participate in bonus plan: target 10%/yr. Bonuses are discretionary and not guaranteed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 10 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 8 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 8 years of experience with the following: Data management; Data administration; Working with over 2 terabytes of transactional databases; and Using Windows/SQL Server Clustering.
Of the required experience, must have 6 years of experience with the following: Performance tuning and database monitoring utilizing techniques with query analysis, indexes, statistics, and execution plans.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Managing NoSQL databases, including Couchbase, MongoDB, and CosmosDB; Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies; and SQL AlwaysON Availability Groups configuration, management, and performance.
Telecommuting permitted 5 days a week, depending on business need.
