- Modernize the technology stack for variable marketing incentive systems based on MACH architecture principles.

Model the use of modern software engineering practices (i.e.,TDD, BDD, CI/CD, Shift left, 12 factor applications etc.), API design, and architecture to support integration with existing Ford software products as well as external cloud-based services.

Collaborate with Ford’s Enterprise Architecture organization to rationalize technologies, further leverage current technology offerings already in use, and identify gaps/opportunities.

Overall responsibility and accountability for API design, Sprinf MVC and backend Spring boot microservices suite on Google cloud platform
Actively participate in modernizing variable marketing incentive products and experiences to significantly improve Ford’s current capabilities and ensure these platforms can grow to meet increasing demands.
Design, build, and implement Proofs of Concept (POCs) using cutting-edge technologies, and contribute to constructing, deploying highly scalable and robust cloud-based intelligent solutions.
Implement and maintain backend Spring Boot microservices on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring adherence to API design specifications.
Apply modern software engineering practices (i.e., TDD, BDD, CI/CD, Shift left, 12-factor applications, etc.) in daily development.
Collaborate with other development teams and architects to ensure seamless integration with existing Ford software products and external cloud-based services.
Strong hands-on experience of at least 10+ years in Java/J2EE/Spring Framework/Spring Boot.
Exposure to tools like 42 Crunch, Sonarqube etc…
Demonstrated experience with Microservices architectures (using Spring Boot), Spring MVC Cloud-Native architectures, Event-driven architectures, APIs, and Domain-Driven Design.
Practical experience with Public Cloud platforms (Google Cloud preferred), Serverless technologies, Kubernetes, Docker, and DevOps practices.
Proven ability to build scalable, reliable, and available solutions, including experience with performance testing.
Strong technical background with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and development.
Conversant in multiple programming languages and a thorough understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing concepts, including scalability, performance, and consistency characteristics of microservices-driven architectures.
Good expertise in RESTful APIs, Messaging systems (KAFKA, RABBITMQ, cloud pub/sub, etc.), and stream processing (SPARK, STORM, etc.).
Experience with DB2, NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, HBase, Mongo, Memcached) as well as traditional RDBMS.
Experience in Cloud Native systems, Transactional Systems, Multi-Tenancy, and Containerization technologies.
Good understanding of RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and strong exposure to data modeling, data access patterns, data replication, and active-active polyglot persistence setups.
