The Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to plan and execute complex integration and verification test events. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in system integration and testing. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge missile defense technologies in a collaborative and innovative environment.

This is a full-time onsite position based in Andover, MA. 

What You Will Do

  • Support Testing Efforts: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification in both simulated and real-world environments. Generate technical reports documenting findings through data analysis.

  • Troubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues both real-time and through detailed analysis and debugging

  • Drive Performance: Collaborate across functions, track metrics, and document lessons learned to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues

  • Modeling and Analysis: Utilize and create modeling and simulation tools to predict system performance and support verification and validation

  • Collaborate: Work with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality

  • Document and Communicate: Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and effectively communicate results to Program Management Office (PMO) and System Integration and Test (SI&T) leadership and stakeholders.

  • Support On-Site Missions and Test Events: Travel as needed (up to 10%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, or lead range support teams from Andover.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience

  • Experience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or system testing

  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, JavaScript, C/C++, and/or other programming languages

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience generating technical documentation such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports

  • Experience in developing and managing requirements, as well as experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS or equivalent) and configuration control practices

  • Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, and in the field supporting integration and/or verification

  • Knowledge of radar systems and properties, including Signal Processing, Clutter Rejection, Doppler, Antenna Properties, and Pulse Characteristics.

  • Experience with evaluating systems using simulated environments.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
