Accountabilities:
- Support the design, integration, testing, and verification of advanced weapons systems and related electronic components.
- Analyze electromechanical systems, products, and applications to evaluate performance and compliance with requirements.
- Manage system requirements, develop technical documentation, and support interface control processes.
- Create and maintain statements of work, specifications, technical plans, and program schedules.
- Develop and execute test plans while supporting verification and certification activities.
- Participate in technical design reviews and provide engineering guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with weapons engineers, systems engineers, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Apply knowledge of military standards, including MIL-STD-1760 Stores Management Systems and related integration requirements.
- Support integration activities across development, demonstration, and production phases.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship within engineering teams when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with 5+ years of related engineering experience; or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience; or a PhD with 1+ year of experience.
- Experience with manned or unmanned aircraft, weapon system design, requirements verification, or certification activities.
- Experience collaborating with weapons engineering teams and supporting complex integration efforts.
- Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance with a recent background investigation or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within required timelines.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, technical requirements management, and integration processes.
- Experience leading technical teams or supporting high-performing engineering organizations is preferred.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-1553 and MIL-STD-1760 standards is preferred.
- Experience with software data analysis and technical evaluation is a plus.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work onsite and support occasional travel requirements.
- Competitive base salary range of $98,400 - $147,600, depending on experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
