About the Role:
As part of the Marketing team, we develop engaging and creative marketing campaigns that promote our content, product, and brand. We collaborate closely with regional marketing stakeholders across Southeast Asia, as well as talent, agencies, production teams, and external partners to execute impactful campaigns, exclusive content, events, and productions.
This role has two primary areas of focus: driving social media and content marketing initiatives across Southeast Asia, while supporting talent relations to secure and execute exclusive talent partnerships and content that elevate the Rakuten Viki brand.
Through creative storytelling, strategic talent collaborations, and audience-first marketing initiatives, we connect fans with the entertainment they love while driving brand awareness, audience growth, and fan engagement. We are hiring a Content Marketing Specialist based in Seoul to support Southeast Asia marketing and talent relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute full funnel marketing strategies tailored for Southeast Asia (SEA) markets to drive audience growth, engagement, and brand awareness.
Plan and manage content calendars across social media platforms, ensuring timely and relevant content distribution.
Monitor social media trends, fan conversations, and entertainment industry developments to identify new content opportunities.
Analyze social media and content performance metrics, providing actionable insights to optimize campaigns and audience engagement.
Collaborate with marketing teams and cross-functional stakeholders to localize campaigns and maximize market relevance, including UA, CRM and brand and integrated marketing teams.
Develop and execute promotional campaigns for major content releases, talent campaigns, and marketing initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with talent agencies, management companies, production partners, and key external stakeholders to secure talent opportunities and strengthen strategic partnerships.
Identify and secure talent opportunities for interviews, live interviews, fan calls, promotional campaigns, and exclusive content.
Plan and execute high-impact talent activations, including interviews, livestreams, fan meetings, and special events to drive audience engagement and brand awareness.
Lead end-to-end content production, including concept development, scriptwriting, studio sourcing, filming logistics, and on-site production.
Collaborate with the Creative team to produce compelling talent content, providing creative direction and feedback throughout the production process.
Develop creative concepts for exclusive talent interviews and branded content that resonate with global audiences.
Measure the performance of talent content and campaigns, identifying opportunities to maximize reach, engagement, and overall impact.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in content marketing and/or the entertainment industry.
Strong communication skills in both Korean and English.
Strong understanding of the social media landscape, including key platforms, trends, content formats, and platform-specific strategies.
Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to interpret data and drive marketing strategy.
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
Quick learner with a curious mindset.
Good understanding of international audiences.
Able to work well in team environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in marketing, media, talent agency, or the entertainment industry is a plus
Proficiency in managing/using social media platforms.
Experience with subscription-based media companies, understanding user engagement and retention strategies.
Proven experience in running regional campaigns across North America, LATAM, SEA, Oceania, India, or Europe, tailoring strategies to local markets.
Additional language proficiency in Chinese, Portuguese, or other languages is a plus.
