Vice President, GIB Consumer and Retail

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a Vice President (VP) to join our team here in London. As a VP you will assist the team in executing transactions and develop the business within the Consumer & Retail sector.

What will you do?

• Work as directed by the Managing Directors to develop and grow the business in Europe

• Provide coverage support of Consumer accounts across RBC’s core European coverage countries

• Assist in the management of junior members of the Consumer team

• Maintain close working relationships with country teams and product groups including M&A, Leveraged Finance, DCM and Corporate Banking

• Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Demonstrated ability to work at Vice President level on transactions

• Prior Investment Banking experience in the Consumer sectors

• An understanding of valuation techniques standard in this industry

• An understanding of capital and accounting rules appropriate for different sub-sectors

• Curiosity and drive
