Finance & Legal at Nabla
Finance and Legal at Nabla sits at the centre of every major decision the company makes. As VP Finance, you'll be the CFO's right hand — owning financial operations end-to-end while touching Legal, HR, and Admin. This is a senior cross-functional role that operates at the intersection of Finance, Strategy, and People, and a rare opportunity to work in close proximity to the CFO with a clear path to become one.
Your Team
You'll report directly to the CFO and work closely with executives across Finance, HR, Legal, and Operations, and partner with Sales, Customer Success, and the Board on strategic topics.
What you'll do
FP&A & Accounting
Manage the FP&A and Accounting teams
Own the review of the accounting function: month-end close, statutory reporting, audit coordination, and compliance with French and US GAAP requirements
Review and challenge with FP&A team the company's financial model, forecast, and budget; track actuals vs. plan and deliver actionable insight to leadership
Participate in board and investor reporting — be the guardian of Nabla's financial information and a trusted, credible voice with investors and the Board
Manage cash flow management, working capital optimization, and treasury oversight
Business partnering
Participate in Nabla's pricing strategy: structure pricing frameworks, lead pricing discussions with the Sales team, and support negotiations with key customers
Help design and manage incentive plans for Sales and Customer Success — aligning compensation structures with business objectives
People & Equity
Partner with the People team on salary benchmarking, compensation decisions, and headcount planning
Oversee equity management end-to-end, including BSPCE, BSA, and secondary transactions
Advise employees and leadership on equity mechanics, tax implications, and liquidity events
Legal & Admin oversight
Supervise day-to-day legal and administrative operations, coordinating with legal counsel as needed
Review vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and operational documentation, in connection with the Head of Procurement and the Sales teams
Ensure compliance with applicable French corporate, employment, and financial regulations
The impact
Nabla has raised significant capital to date and is on a strong growth trajectory — you'll own the financial backbone of that story
Every commercial agreement, vendor contract, and strategic partnership that powers our 10 billion tokens/month of LLM processing runs through this function
You'll work hand-in-hand with the CFO and have a clear path to step into that role — directly enabling the clinical impact we have for hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals each week
Your DNA
Business school graduate (top-tier Grande École or equivalent)
5 years in Audit or Transaction Services at a top-tier firm — you have an exceptional technical accounting and finance foundation
2–5 years in-house at a VC-backed startup as Head of Finance or equivalent — you've juggled accounting, FP&A, legal, HR, and admin simultaneously
Strong business mindset: comfortable discussing pricing strategy and sales incentives as much as reviewing a balance sheet
Good knowledge of French corporate law, equity instruments (BSPCE, BSA), and governance best practices
Exceptional communicator, able to distill complex financial and operational concepts for diverse audiences including the Board, employees, and external partners
High degree of integrity, discretion, and sound commercial judgment: you are a trusted enabler, not a blocker
Bonus: fluent with Quickbooks, Pennylane, Abacum, Brex
