Wholesale Credit Risk Policy Document Associate
As a Wholesale Credit Risk Policy Document Manager within Wholesale Credit Risk, you join the team that's writing and providing independent review and challenge to Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) documents for one of the world's largest banks.
Reporting to the team lead, you will help to write documents, establish escalation and review protocols while setting governance for document initiation, review, and modification. This will include partnering closely with WCR lines of businesses (LOBs) including Asset & Wealth Management, Consumer & Community Banking, Investment Bank and functional areas supporting these LOBs. You will lead and deliver projects and respond to evolving regulatory requirements that will have high exposure to senior leadership and a holistic understanding of the WCR organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Document Manager: Independently manage a portfolio of credit risk documents that includes working with document owners to write documents, solicit and incorporate feedback, obtain document owner approvals and publish to the firmwide policy portal.
- Reporting and Monitoring: Maintain comprehensive oversight of the portfolio by tracking the status and progress of documents throughout their lifecycle, monitor due and past due items, and highlight obstacles while formulating solutions.
- Governance Support: Coordinate Policy Committee meetings, cover Secretary responsibilities include maintaining meeting minutes, monitoring quorum, and tracking follow-up items to completion.
- Training and Guidance: Guide document owners and credit corporate functions through the governance process and provide training as needed.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communication with ability to edit and prepare executive level communications. Writing sample may be asked for.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines and a constantly changing environment.
- High degree of initiative, self-direction, ability to work well under pressure and learn quickly.
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to take on responsibilities that may fall outside your immediate area of expertise.
- Inclusive leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups and regions. Appreciate the value of working in partnership with others to influence change and accomplish individual and team goals.
- Working knowledge of Credit Risk concepts and WCR audit, control, policy or governance experience.
