Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Architect to design, manage, and optimize complex SAP landscapes. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA support, upgrades, conversions, and migrations, along with deep knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, GRC, SAP PO, Fiori, and cloud technologies (SAP BTP). This role plays a critical part in ensuring scalability, availability, security, and long-term SAP platform strategy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide SAP production support to the North American region through monitoring, alerting, incident/change/problem/request management.
  • Deliver SAP patches and upgrades to all products to maintain environment lifecycle and vulnerability management.
  • Develop and participate in SAP new projects to bring develop new strategy, realize new technologies, and bring functionality to HTA.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings as a representative of the technical team at HTA to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Complete training as part of continuing education as well as to increase technical skillset and knowledgebase. Train/mentor HTA staff on these learned skills.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including but not limited to processes, procedures, technical maps and drawings, and environment summaries. Create executive summaries as well as technical deep dives in formal reports.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • BS/BA or combination of education/experience
  • SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA certification (preferred)
  • ITIL certifications (preferred)
  • RHEL certifications (preferred)
  • Other database certifications including Sybase ASE and MSSQL (preferred)

Minimum Experience:

  • 5+ years as Basis Administrator / Architect

Financial Dimensions:

  • Assist ISD management to define and manage the NA OCM budget (training, tooling, travel).
  • Establish benefit realization for SAP changes: baseline metrics, targets, and financial translation.
  • Business adoption  technical dashboards, quantify gaps and drive corrective actions.
  • Validate benefit capture post-go-live (30/60/90-day reviews).

Working Conditions

  • 50% Hybrid working environment. Additional in-office participation as required.
  • Frequent computer and desk work; extended periods of sitting/standing; regular presentations and facilitation.
  • Regional system support 24/7.
  • Overtime as business needs require, particularly for production support, project support, emergency response.
  • Domestic & International travel to HTNA locations, partner sites, and training venues as required.
  • Handles confidential company and partner information; adheres to IT/security, privacy, and export/compliance policies and required training.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of program outcomes and adoption targets.
