Job Description: 

In this position, you will be part of a site safety and industrial hygiene team and will be responsible for the development, co-ordination, continuous improvement and management of site safety and industrial hygiene programmes, such as electrical safety, working at heights, powered industrial trucks, laser safety, chemical approval etc.

 

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Conduct high quality and detailed risk assessment for new manufacturing equipment and facilities.

  • Support event/injury response, detailed investigations and root cause analysis.

  • Research EHS regulations and incorporate future regulatory changes into existing EHS programs.

  • Responsible for managing site's regulatory compliance across safety and industrial hygiene programs.

  • Managing the health of safety and industrial hygiene programs in a manufacturing environment including training, education and awareness and supporting internal customers regularly.

  • Evaluate ongoing safety and industrial hygiene program effectiveness and implement measures to ensure program effectiveness.

  • Understand how all safety/industrial hygiene programmes work by supporting all EHS at the site with a view to becoming a primary owner for specific programmes, with additional responsibility as secondary owner for other programmes.

  • Analyze EHS data, identify trends, and help define key focus areas for continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Environmental Engineering.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • You must possess a third level qualification (NFQ level 8) in Health and Safety/Industrial Hygiene OR

  • A NFQ level 8 Engineering/Science qualification with a L9 in Health and Safety/Industrial Hygiene.

  • 8–10 years relevant work experience (ideally semiconductor experience).

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders on EHS topics.

  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate information.

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of local EHS legislation and practice.

  • Proficiency in data management/Excel.

  • Ability to present and explain EHS data to both technical and non-technical forums.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment with minimal supervision.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of initiative.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Practical experience with EHS management systems.

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.

Annual Salary Range for this job which could be performed in Ireland is: €59,200.00 - €111,300.00

The compensation range displayed in this posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for this position. Within this range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, and relevant education, training. As part of our total compensation approach, the final offer may include additional pay components and benefits. Your recruiting team will share the confirmed base salary along with any applicable total compensation elements upon employment offer delivery.

Work Model for this Role
