We are seeking a talented Wafer Sort Module Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing team in New Mexico. You will manage and maintain one or more Wafer Sort toolsets in the factory, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and strict adherence to process/equipment standards. Your role includes monitoring daily performance, preventing issues, and maintaining high tool availability and process quality.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Keeping tools running efficiently and defect-free

  • Meeting availability and matching performance targets

  • Supporting new tool installations, upgrades, and qualifications

  • Driving continuous improvement in tool performance and reliability

  • Helping achieve factory goals for Safety, quality, cost, output, cycle time, and defect reduction

In a high-volume manufacturing environment, you will also support process development at the module level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and optimize critical high-volume manufacturing equipment and processes for maximum performance

  • Execute comprehensive testing and measurement protocols to maintain control over critical dimensions and defectivity

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, cost, productivity, and yield metrics

  • Develop and sustain manufacturing capacity while demonstrating technology capabilities for global transfer

  • Lead process development initiatives for advanced manufacturing nodes and oversee equipment qualification

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and equipment suppliers to resolve technical challenges

  • Implement excursion prevention systems and proactively address process discrepancies

  • Participate in technology transfer activities including training and auditing across manufacturing sites

  • Own New product introduction, while meeting key deadlines/milestones and troubleshooting novel challenges

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.  Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Material Science and Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or other STEM related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing process control, equipment engineering, or related fields with a bachelor's degree; or 1+ years of experience with a master's degree.

  • Relevant experience should include the following:

    • Process improvement methodologies including Design of Experiments (DOE) principles.

    • Hands-on experience in manufacturing process improvement, problem-solving, and excursion management.

    • Technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in:

    • Semiconductor environments, particularly in process analytical metrology and development.

    • Familiarity with statistics and experimental design applied to tool matching, tool qualification, and process optimization.

    • Understanding of semiconductor process flows (logic or memory preferred) and metrology-based process assessments.

    • Proven ability to lead projects or task forces from problem identification to resolution.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $89,010.00-125,660.00 USD
