ROLE SUMMARY

The Sales Manager will be responsible for building and converting a high-quality sales pipeline by leveraging market intelligence, owning end-to-end RFP management, and driving contract closures. This individual will serve as the primary client-facing Single Point of Contact (SPOC) from the moment an opportunity is identified through to contract execution, ensuring seamless coordination across internal stakeholders, design, costing, governance, and legal functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  Pipeline Building through Market Intelligence

  • Proactively identify and track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging client needs to generate new opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a robust, qualified sales pipeline through intelligence gathering, networking, and targeted outreach.
  • Maintain an up-to-date opportunity tracker and pipeline hygiene .

2.  RFP Management – Client & Internal Stakeholder Coordination

  • Own the end-to-end RFP response process from receipt to submission to closure.
  • Drive clarification calls, solution discussions with internal Bid Solutioning team, and alignment sessions with client stakeholders.
  • Orchestrate internal response teams including Design, Costing, Bid Solutioning, and Delivery functions.
  • Ensure timely, compliant, and commercially competitive submissions that align with client requirements.

3.  Single Point of Contact (SPOC) – Client Relationship

  • Act as the primary interface between the client and the organization throughout the RFP lifecycle.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key client decision-makers, procurement teams, and influencers.
  • Manage client communication, expectation-setting, and escalations proactively and professionally.
  • Ensure a consistent and positive client experience from opportunity identification through award.

4.  Contract Closure – Commercial & Legal Finalization

  • Lead commercial negotiations with clients upon RFP win, with support from Governance and Legal teams.
  • Coordinate internal approvals for deal terms, pricing, and contractual commitments.
  • Drive timely contract execution by managing dependencies across Legal, Finance, and Business Leadership.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations and milestones are clearly documented and handed off to the delivery team.

5.  Internal Governance Management

  • Manage the internal governance framework for all active RFPs — including deal reviews, approvals, and stage gates.
  • Prepare and present opportunity summaries and deal reviews to senior leadership and approving committees.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies on bid participation, pricing authority, and risk thresholds.
  • Maintain accurate records of RFP status, outcomes, and learnings for continuous improvement.
