What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a Training Specialist to support training, technical assistance, and user adoption for a federal public health client. This role will design, develop, and deliver user-centered training materials that help program staff, recipients, grantees, project sites, and stakeholders understand and use public health systems, tools, processes, reporting workflows, and data management guidance. The role may support CDC DHP-related training and technical assistance for qualitative and quantitative data management, secure data submission, SOPs, data governance, and issue resolution.

  • Develop training materials, curricula, job aids, user guides, FAQs, SOP training materials, and other support resources.

  • Deliver training sessions, technical assistance, office-hour support, and user support activities.

  • Support adoption of public health systems, tools, processes, dashboards, data submission workflows, and reporting outputs.

  • Support technical assistance for recipients, grantees, project sites, site coordinators, data managers, and other stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with program, technical, and subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, useful, and aligned with approved procedures.

  • Tailor training materials for different audiences, including client staff, recipients, grantees, project sites, and external stakeholders.

  • Support stakeholder engagement, readiness, and change adoption activities related to public health data systems and reporting processes.

  • Support issue intake, triage, documentation, escalation, and resolution processes for training and technical assistance needs.

  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on stakeholder feedback and recurring support needs.

  • Maintain training documentation, trackers, support materials, and feedback summaries.

  • Translate client needs into practical training products and user support deliverables.

  • Deliver high-quality client service in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


What You Will Need:

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • THREE (3) years of relevant experience in training, instructional design, technical assistance, public health support, change adoption, or a related field.

  • Experience developing training materials, job aids, user guides, FAQs, SOPs, or other user support resources.

  • Experience delivering training, facilitating meetings, or supporting stakeholder learning activities.

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interpret client needs and translate them into practical documents, materials, or deliverables.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and produce accurate, user-centered materials under deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint or similar collaboration tools.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Strong preference for candidates located in the Houston, TX, San Antonio, TX, Atlanta, GA or Huntsville, AL areas.

  • Experience supporting CDC, HHS, or another federal health agency.

  • Experience supporting HIV prevention, public health data systems, technical assistance, or recipient-facing public health programs.

  • Experience supporting public health programs, recipients, grantees, cooperative agreement stakeholders, project sites, or data managers.

  • Experience supporting system rollouts, user onboarding, help desk materials, office hours, or technical assistance models.

  • Experience developing role-based training materials, SOPs, FAQs, quick-reference guides, secure submission guidance, or issue-resolution materials.

  • Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility, adult learning principles, plain language standards, or federal training material review processes.

  • Experience evaluating training effectiveness or improving training materials based on stakeholder feedback.

The annual salary range for this position is $61,000.00-$101,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
