This 1st shift position will be located at our Plant 5, Ti-Cast operation. As a Production Control Coordinator, the responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Purpose
- Follow all Howmet safety protocols and support a safe working environment
- Drive on time flow of castings to commit dates
- Identify inventory in OHCMS that has not moved operations recently and physically validate the part is at system indicated operation.
- Change part travelers as required for any process changes identified by planning or engineering
- Works with manufacturing to maintain part priority by DPAS priority ratings, scheduled ship dates and changes in customer priority communicated by Sales Manager, Scheduler or Planner
Supports
Maintains a collaborative relationship with manufacturing to serve our customers.
- Identify and resolve issues that may disrupt the manufacturing schedule, implementing or coordinating corrective actions as needed.
- Escalate any issues that can’t be resolved in 48 hours
- Communicate daily with Supervisors, Schedulers, and Managers providing updates and status of assigned projects
- Coordinating with planning on receipts of expected purchase orders of raw materials
- In daily communication with teams identify any changes that may affect our usage of raw materials and inform planning
- Inventory Ingot monthly, report out to management and complete inventory transactions
- Back up to the Material Control Processor which would include – Completing daily paperwork and shipments for processing castings going to customers
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with material ordering and management.
- Previous experience with supplier communications.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of inventory process and cycle counting.
- Associate degree preferred
- Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
