POSITION SUMMARY Logistic Manager administer and support day to day Logistics / traffic functions for Monterrey HUB. Interface between numerous departments to track and coordinate deliveries to customer and inbound material for production requirements. Maintain contact with customer service for shipping documentation or information, contact for production for material in transit, troubleshoot issues directly with carriers on pick-ups and deliveries at jobsites, works directly with: Warehouse, shipping/receiving personnel to execute daily shipments and receipts. RESPONSIBILITIES Set performance goals for the department and establish actions plans to meet them. Ensure storage and distribution activities are performed according safe regulations and policies in order to minimize the risk of employee injury and material damage. Responsible for shipping operation to direct customers. Establish metrics and reports to measure and control On time delivery and inventory in transit. Assure product shipments are customs compliance. Responsible for the security of the finished goods transportation and disposition. Coordinate material floor set-up for initial runs and regular production. Maintain stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy through cycle counting. Review accuracy & competence of post deducts bins and routing. Coordinate Kan-ban set ups. Warehouse and Inventory analysis team’s supervision. Lead lean and cost savings projects related to space optimization, materials storage and handling, such others. Generates regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Works closely with Planning Manager or Master Scheduler in the creation of the production schedule. Coordinate with MRO buyers the logistics / customs needs for the equipment / tooling / and other MRO good provided to the internal key customers. QUALIFICATIONS Degree in Logistics Management, Purchasing/Operations Management / business management Is Preferred Master’s degree desirable 5-7 years experience PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS N/A. TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED 50% REQUIREMENTS: Assures the smooth relationships with ASCO’s daily preferred carriers and schedules various special transportation requests from the sales offices or customers. Coordinates address changes or delivery issues with carrier. Reviews the proper invoicing procedures daily. Processes all carrier freight claims. Updates all Freight claim files. Executes shipments with preferred carriers scheduling outbound carriers according to company routing guide and Supply Chain Optimization portal. Import compliance - Maintains document storage to proper guidelines per the Emerson and US Customs record retention policies. Export compliance - Maintains proper guidelines for document storage per the Emerson and US Customs record retention policies. Retains all required documentation through Record Retention process. Troubleshoot any issues. Answer inquiries from customer service, sales offices, planning, and carriers for in-transit material. Import tracking - Point of contact for buyer/planners to locate shipments in transit and coordinate their delivery. Coordinates with designated freight forwarders to ship product in timely and cost-effective manner. Provides International Sales and Logistics personnel shipment information and documentation for visibility to customer. Accurate and timely communication to customers, planners, and subsidiaries on their shipments. Quick and complete coordination of domestic outbound shipments. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and interact effectively with personnel to accomplish tasks. Must be action-oriented with an eye for finding opportunity and solving problems. Must be able to operate in a dynamic, ever changing environment, thus being able to adapt to a fast-paced workplace. Detail oriented with ability to complete tasks in timely manner. Working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
