Accountabilities:
- Lead and contribute to technical integration projects throughout the full lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with customer engineering teams, solution architects, and internal stakeholders to define effective integration strategies and technical approaches.
- Design and develop custom integrations, connectors, APIs, and extensions to meet complex customer requirements beyond standard product capabilities.
- Create detailed technical specifications covering API integrations, event mappings, data flows, and system interactions.
- Participate in and lead technical discussions with customers, providing guidance and troubleshooting support throughout integration initiatives.
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality backend solutions while following strong engineering standards.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for integration components, supporting implementation, customer success, and pre-sales activities.
- Build documentation, demos, prototypes, and proof-of-concept solutions to demonstrate platform capabilities and accelerate adoption.
- Identify technical challenges, communicate risks proactively, and provide clear updates to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement by contributing to scalable architecture, reliable systems, and efficient development practices.
- 5-7 years of experience in backend development, integration engineering, professional services engineering, or another technical client-facing role.
- Strong experience designing and implementing REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Go, Python, Java, TypeScript, or C#.
- Solid understanding of databases, including relational, non-relational, and NoSQL technologies.
- Proven experience working directly with customers or technical stakeholders in complex environments.
- Ability to create clear technical documentation, specifications, and implementation guidance for development teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, analyze challenges, and develop creative solutions.
- Experience with cloud technologies and containerization tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, or GCP is considered an asset.
- Experience with Golang, asynchronous messaging systems, Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, or workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal is considered an advantage.
- Background in financial services, fintech, or mortgage technology is a plus.
