Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents.  Position Summary The Post Event Sweeper position is a hands-on position responsible for the oversight, cleanliness, and safety of a designated area during an event at the PPG Paints Arena in accordance with established guidelines and procedures under the direction of the Lead Janitor and Operations Manager. Will be required to join the union, upon invitation, following a 90-day probationary period. This role will pay an hourly rate of $17.48 (per CBA).Benefits as per the union agreement. This position will remain open until October 16, 2026. About the Venue As a leading entertainment venue, PPG Paints Arena is the regional epicenter for athletic events, concerts, and family shows in Western Pennsylvania and home to the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins. Responsibilities Maintain neatness and sanitation in assigned areas at all times.Clean and sanitize assigned work areas that include seating areas, floors, restrooms, etc., using mechanical and/or manual equipment following proper sanitization protocols.Empty trash and recycling receptacles in assigned areas and wheel full hampers to the compactor.Monitor cleaning supplies and paper products and notify the supervisor of needed items at the end of a shift.Maintain neatness and cleanliness of custodial storage areas and equipment.  Follow safety rules and regulations.Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to the supervisor immediately.Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Janitor and Operations Manager.Occasionally work as casual utility, assisting in the set-up of events.Be knowledgeable about locations throughout the facility.Be respectful, courteous, and helpful to all guests and fellow employees. Qualifications Knowledge of various cleaning compounds necessary to the position.Ability to lift and push/pull heavy objects.Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to operate various floor cleaning equipmentPrevious janitorial experience preferred, including stripping/waxing floors, using a propane floor burnisher, floor scrubbers, and other cleaning-specific machinery.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.Ability to interact with all levels of staff, including management.Ability to work irregular hours, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays—Shifts are midnight to 8:00 am, with occasional daylight shifts as necessary.Requires a large amount of walking, stair climbing, and standing to access all seating areas. Requires using hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  Able to work in both indoor and outdoor settings and may be subjected to adverse conditions.
