Accountabilities:

    • Serve as a strategic legal advisor to product teams, helping them launch and scale solutions across new markets and business areas.
    • Identify and manage legal risks related to consumer protection, privacy, payments, advertising, intellectual property, SaaS, and commercial compliance.
    • Provide clear, actionable legal guidance to Product, Engineering, Design, Business Development, and Operations teams.
    • Develop scalable compliance frameworks and processes that support product expansion without creating unnecessary operational barriers.
    • Support technology and platform initiatives by translating legal requirements into practical recommendations for business teams.
    • Improve legal workflows by identifying efficiency opportunities and leveraging AI-assisted tools to streamline processes.
    • Establish risk frameworks, documentation, and escalation paths to proactively manage legal exposure.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure Legal is viewed as a business enabler and trusted partner.
    • Requirements:

      • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school with active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
      • 5+ years of legal experience at a leading law firm or within an in-house legal department.
      • Experience with legal matters related to internet, technology, and e-commerce environments, including privacy, copyright, advertising, payments, and SaaS.
      • Ability to provide concise, practical legal advice and drive outcomes across multiple teams.
      • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
      • Comfort using AI tools and technology solutions to improve efficiency and optimize legal processes.
      • Experience working with technology platforms or consumer-facing products is a plus.
      • Background in corporate, pharmaceutical, alcohol, privacy, or data security law, including GDPR and international privacy frameworks, is considered an advantage.
      • Excellent communication skills, business mindset, adaptability, and strong cross-functional collaboration abilities.
